Managing Your Subscription

Everything about your subscription lives in Settings → Billing: your current plan, the card on file, your past transactions, and the controls to change or cancel.

  1. Open Settings → Billing.
  2. Select Change plan.
  3. Pick the plan you want and confirm.

What happens next depends on the direction:

  • Moving up takes effect immediately. Your new plan and its usage allowance are active straight away, and you’re charged the difference for the remainder of the current period.
  • Moving down is scheduled for the end of your current period, so you keep what you’ve already paid for. Your plan stays as it is until then.

A scheduled change is shown on the Billing tab with the date it takes effect, and you can call it off with Cancel change any time before it lands.

Your current payment method is shown under Card on file in Settings → Billing, where you can also replace it. You’re taken to Stripe to enter the new details — BlinkLife never sees or stores your card number.

If a renewal doesn’t go through, you’ll see a banner telling you we couldn’t charge your card, and your companion is paused until the payment is sorted. Your data is untouched — nothing is deleted, and everything is waiting once the charge succeeds.

Update your card from the banner or from Settings → Billing. We’ll keep retrying for a while, and access returns as soon as a payment goes through. If every retry fails, the subscription ends and you’ll be asked to choose a plan again.

Settings → Billing lists every transaction on your account — subscription charges, renewals, credit purchases, and refunds. Each row has a download action that gives you the invoice or receipt PDF for that charge.

Cancel from Settings → Billing. Cancellation is scheduled for the end of your current billing period rather than immediate — you keep access and your allowance for everything you’ve already paid for, and you won’t be charged again.

Once you’ve cancelled, the Billing tab shows the date your access ends and offers Resume if you change your mind before then.

If you cancel during a trial, you won’t be charged, and the app tells you which plan the trial would otherwise have converted to.

Unspent credit purchases can be refunded yourself within a limited window — see Refunds for paid credits. For a question about a subscription charge, contact support and our team will review it.
