Connecting Gmail lets your companion help with your inbox — finding emails, drafting replies, and keeping things tidy. You decide exactly which of those it can do.
Connecting Gmail
Section titled “Connecting Gmail”- Go to Settings → Connections and find the Gmail card.
- Click Connect. A short message explains what access you’re about to grant.
- You’re sent to Google’s sign-in screen — approve the permissions there.
- You’re returned to BlinkLife and the Permissions & Settings panel opens automatically.
Permissions and what they mean for you
Section titled “Permissions and what they mean for you”Each permission is an independent on/off switch. Turning one off instantly removes that ability from your companion.
| Permission | Default | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Read Emails | On | Your companion can search your inbox and read threads — so it can answer “did I hear back from Sarah?” |
| Compose Emails | Off | Your companion can write and send brand-new emails. Left off by default so nothing goes out unless you turn it on. |
| Reply / Forward | On | Your companion can draft and send replies to existing threads. |
| Create Drafts | On | Your companion can save emails as drafts for you to review and send yourself. |
| Manage Inbox | On | Your companion can archive, label, and unsubscribe — useful for tidying up clutter. |
Email autonomy mode
Section titled “Email autonomy mode”This single setting decides how much your companion does without checking with you.
- Save to Draft (default) — your companion writes the email and leaves it in your Gmail drafts. You review and send it. Safest option.
- Full Auto — your companion composes and sends emails on its own, no review step.
Disconnecting
Section titled “Disconnecting”Open the Gmail card in Settings → Connections and click Disconnect. Your companion immediately loses all access to your email.
