Understanding Your Credits

Credits are a top-up balance that sits behind your plan. Your subscription’s monthly usage allowance is used first; credits are what keep your companion going once that allowance is spent for the period.

You can see your Credit balance any time under Settings → Usage.

Your Credit balance lives under Settings → Usage. Every individual credit purchase, grant, and refund is listed under Settings → Billing, in the Transactions list. Your balance can include credits from a few sources:

  • Purchased credits — credits you buy yourself. See Topping up & running out.
  • Free credits from an offer — if you claimed a free-credit offer, those credits appear here. They’re free and usually have an expiry date.
  • Credits added by our team — occasionally support adds credits to your account directly (for example, to make something right). These show in your history as granted.

If you have credits scheduled to arrive rather than granted all at once, you’ll see them noted as arriving, with a View schedule option.

Credits cover the same things your allowance does — chat, voice, and creating notes, pages, images, and memories. Different tasks run on different AI models at different costs, so the amount used varies by task. Longer or more complex requests use more than short, simple ones.

We always spend the credits that expire soonest first, so nothing goes to waste. Free and purchased credits aren’t treated differently here — it’s purely about which expire first.
